King Gina's Women In Business Directory

For Women’s month (August), our blog will be creating a platform for Women-Owned Businesses. We not only want to profile successful women but rather give them a platform to advertise their products and services to potential clients and possibly collaborate with other women too.

When chatting to entrepreneurs, apart from access to finance, one of the biggest challenges that they face is ACCESS TO MARKETS. You can be great at what you do but if people do not know that your brand exists in the first place… they will not be able to support it.

Our blog King Gina’s World has managed to significantly grow its audience/readers in the past 4 months and we would like to give women-owned businesses an opportunity to send us a brief description of their product and service offering. Who knows… your future client could be reading our blog, locally and internationally.

To have your company featured in our Women’s Day Business Directory kindly send us the following:

·         A 50-word business profile outlining your product/service offering.
·         A high resolution image of yourself (optional)
·         A high resolution image of your product/service offering or company logo
·         Company contact details, business address (optional), website address and social media handles

This is only for women-owned businesses and businesses where women own 51% or more of the business.

Please note that the company can be based anywhere in the world and not only just South Africa. This call is open to all women, INTERNATIONALLY.

The directory will be published on our blog on the 9th of August 2017 (Women's Day in South Africa) and will be advertised on all of our social media platforms.

Send all profiles to: kingginasworld@gmail.com before the 4th of August 17H00.

Luxury Champagne Campaign: The Stories Behind My Favourite Champagne Brands

Lily Bollinger was once asked " When do you drink champagne?",  and she replied:  “I only drink champagne when I'm happy, and when I'm sad. Sometimes I drink it when I'm alone. When I have company, I consider it obligatory.  I trifle with it if I am not hungry and drink it when I am. Otherwise I never touch it - unless I'm thirsty.” In the words of Madame Bollinger, champagne does not need an occasion and I believe it to be true. Once you fall in love with it, you will not be a fan of anything else…unless you are me; I love a good glass of Pinot Noir too. The aspect that makes luxury brands stand out are the stories behind the brands. Story-telling is a major component of brand building when it comes to luxury brands; it is no longer about convincing a consumer to make the purchase but to rather be a part of the story. The stories behind brands such as Dom PĂ©rignon and my personal favourite, Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin are ones that warm my heart....

South Africa's Gems - My Top 40 Young Movers and Shakers

(image source: https://thewishfactor.wordpress.com) " I am the dream and the hope of the slave. "- Maya Angelou Maya Angelou's poem Still I Rise makes me think of the struggles of yesteryear and how the youth had sacrificed their childhoods and dreams in order for us to be free and achieve our wildest dreams and greatest ambitions. It is no secret that " it is not yet uhuru " but with the youth of today leading an economic revolution through entrepreneurship and representation in corporate SA, the future is bright. Below is a list of young movers and shakers who excite and inspire me (in no particular order). I follow some of them on social media and know some of them personally. All of them are definitely putting our country on the world map and it’s heartwarming to follow their stories and successes. Representation matters. Seeing young people self-actualize inspires other young people to do the same. After all... “we are the ones...
