Event To Attend: Pillar of Strength Media Presents The Role of a Woman 2017 Conference

As we are nearing the end of Women’s Month, Pillar Of Strength Media invites you to attend the, ‘Woman Know Your Role’ conference hosted by Pearl Mgobhozi.

“This conference aims to engage women on the basic principles of womanhood, feminism, the order of God and the role of women in society. We are going to look at a woman as a daughter, a woman as a wife/partner and as a leader in the marketplace. The conference will have speakers, panel discussions, prayer sessions and networking sessions.” – She says.

When great minds come together, solutions to problems are established! Join these great minds in the quest to redefine the role of a woman in her feminine nature in the three dimensions of daughter, wife/partner and in the marketplace. Luxury Champagne Campaign: The Stories Behind My Favourite Champagne Brands

Lily Bollinger was once asked " When do you drink champagne?",  and she replied:  “I only drink champagne when I'm happy, and when I'm sad. Sometimes I drink it when I'm alone. When I have company, I consider it obligatory.  I trifle with it if I am not hungry and drink it when I am. Otherwise I never touch it - unless I'm thirsty.” In the words of Madame Bollinger, champagne does not need an occasion and I believe it to be true. Once you fall in love with it, you will not be a fan of anything else…unless you are me; I love a good glass of Pinot Noir too. The aspect that makes luxury brands stand out are the stories behind the brands. Story-telling is a major component of brand building when it comes to luxury brands; it is no longer about convincing a consumer to make the purchase but to rather be a part of the story. The stories behind brands such as Dom PĂ©rignon and my personal favourite, Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin are ones that warm my heart....

(image source: https://thewishfactor.wordpress.com) " I am the dream and the hope of the slave. "- Maya Angelou Maya Angelou's poem Still I Rise makes me think of the struggles of yesteryear and how the youth had sacrificed their childhoods and dreams in order for us to be free and achieve our wildest dreams and greatest ambitions. It is no secret that " it is not yet uhuru " but with the youth of today leading an economic revolution through entrepreneurship and representation in corporate SA, the future is bright. Below is a list of young movers and shakers who excite and inspire me (in no particular order). I follow some of them on social media and know some of them personally. All of them are definitely putting our country on the world map and it’s heartwarming to follow their stories and successes. Representation matters. Seeing young people self-actualize inspires other young people to do the same. After all... “we are the ones...
